Of the nine Alsu crewmembers initially detained, four were released under court supervision, while the ship’s cook was never held. Alcohol tests conducted on the crew yielded negative results, though authorities have ordered comprehensive blood tests as part of the probe.
Despite extensive search efforts, none of the 10 missing crewmembers from the Tugberk Imamoglu have been found. The Turkish Navy’s vessel TCG Akin confirmed the wreck’s location on Friday, but recovery operations face significant challenges due to the depth and conditions of the site. Prosecutors have also secured navigation records and communications for further review.
