Mozambique LNG boost: SLB OneSubsea lands $1bn subsea deal with ExxonMobil

SLB OneSubsea, a joint venture formed by energy technology firm SLB, engineering group Aker Solutions, and offshore specialist Subsea7, has been selected by ExxonMobil to supply critical subsea infrastructure for Mozambique’s Rovuma LNG development. The contract marks a significant expansion of the company’s operations in Africa.

The agreement covers the delivery of essential subsea production equipment for the project’s initial phase. This includes subsea trees, manifolds, umbilicals, and control systems engineered to enhance production efficiency in the deepwater field. SLB OneSubsea will oversee the full project lifecycle, from engineering and procurement to manufacturing and installation.
