The CMT line introduces a unique quick-change flap disc, the only one of its kind offered by Klingspor. This design allows shipyard teams to reduce downtime during disc replacements while maintaining the same grinding and blending performance as traditional options—at a lower cost. Available in convex and flat profiles, as well as alumina zirconia and non-woven constructions, the CMT discs provide flexibility for both grinding and finishing tasks across metalworking processes.

The SMT family is organized into three quality tiers to match varying shipyard demands. The SPECIAL “9” Series delivers high performance and extended service life for intensive fabrication and repair work, while the SUPRA “6” Series balances durability with a strong stock removal rate for daily operations.
The EXTRA “3” Series, meanwhile, serves as a universal option for different steel types. SMT discs feature alumina zirconia or ceramic grain, with angled or flat geometries, and include specialized versions for stainless steel and heat-sensitive materials, supporting satin finishing and weld seam applications.
The TITAN line focuses on maximizing disc longevity and grinding efficiency. Its trimmable flap design exposes fresh abrasive material, extending disc life and minimizing changeovers. This reduces consumable costs while increasing active grinding time. Engineered to run cooler, TITAN discs help prevent heat buildup, preserving surface integrity during demanding tasks. A yellow plastic backing plate dampens vibrations for smoother operation, and a 5/8″-11 threaded arbor enables tool-free installation.

TITAN discs are available in alumina zirconia or ceramic grain, with options for aggressive stock removal, high-load grinding, and stainless steel finishing. Stainless-focused models incorporate multibond lubricant to further reduce heat and loading, while non-woven and combination constructions support controlled material removal and satin finishing. Angled and flat versions allow users to select the ideal geometry for specific jobs.
