Royal IHC’s €500m lifeline arrives as new CEO takes helm in October

Dutch shipbuilder Royal IHC appoints former Fugro executive Erik-Jan Bijvank as CEO amid €430m ($500m) financial boost.

Royal IHC, the Dutch shipbuilding and maritime technology group, has named Erik-Jan Bijvank as its incoming chief executive. Bijvank, a former executive at geodata specialist Fugro, will join the company on September 1 and assume the CEO role on October 1. His appointment follows the departure of Derk te Bokkel, who has led the company through a three-year restructuring effort.
