The United States has imposed sanctions on 15 individuals and entities in Ecuador, along with 10 fishing vessels, for their alleged role in a cocaine trafficking network that moves thousands of kilograms of the drug monthly toward the U.S. The Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) identified the network as operating near Manta, Ecuador, where fishing businesses served as a front for drug operations.
