The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) has appointed Page Siplon as its new president and chief operating officer, succeeding Rebecca Brewster, who will retire in February 2027. Siplon’s appointment was announced just days before ATRI’s annual survey results are revealed at the American Trucking Associations’ (ATA) Management Conference & Exhibition next week.

Siplon most recently served as CEO of TeamOne Logistics, a company that specializes in providing drivers and staffing solutions to motor carriers. ATRI emphasized his expertise in addressing industry challenges, particularly in driver recruitment, retention, safety, and operational efficiency.

Prior to TeamOne, Siplon led the Georgia Center of Innovation for Logistics, where he advanced the state’s supply chain competitiveness. He also founded the Georgia Logistics Summit, recognized as one of the largest logistics conferences in the U.S. Additionally, Siplon served as vice chairman of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Advisory Committee on Supply Chain Competitiveness, advising federal policymakers on industry-wide issues.

Siplon’s background in logistics and workforce development

Siplon will join ATRI next month, working alongside Brewster during a transition period before fully assuming leadership in 2027. His appointment follows the ATA’s recent hiring of Mark Colson, former head of the Alabama Trucking Association, as its new chief.

As ATRI prepares for its upcoming conference, the organization has launched two new surveys on driver health. One targets carriers, collecting data on medical card durations, insurance costs, and fleet performance metrics. The other seeks anonymous input from drivers about maintaining wellness on the road. ATRI’s research aims to quantify how health impacts safety, operational risk, and costs, with findings expected to shape future industry policies.
