$91m VLGC deal: SPM Shipping storms into gas with first giant tanker

SPM Shipping has broken into the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) market with a $91m purchase of the 84,000 cu m very large gas carrier (VLGC) Clermont, marking the Dubai-based owner’s first foray into gas shipping. The deal, confirmed by vessel sales register VesselsValue, sees SPM Shipping acquire the 2015-built Clermont from Dorian LPG, a specialist in VLGC tonnage.
