TT-Line Locks In Everllence for Baltic Fleet Lifecycle Deal
German ferry operator signs four long-term service agreements covering newbuilds and existing vessels at SMM Hamburg.
German ferry operator TT-Line has secured long-term technical support for four of its vessels after signing agreements with marine propulsion specialist Everllence at this year’s SMM trade fair in Hamburg. The contracts cover two new RoPax ferries under construction in China, as well as two existing ships already in service.
The newbuildings, scheduled to enter commercial operation in 2030 and 2031, are being constructed at China Merchants Jinling Shipyard in Jiangsu. Both will be equipped with four 6L49/60DF engines and an integrated Everllence propulsion package, including twin-in-single-out gearboxes, Alpha controllable pitch propellers, an LNG fuel gas supply system, and an electrical system featuring a DC switchboard, power management, and battery energy storage. The design reflects TT-Line’s Green Ship concept, prioritising reduced emissions and fuel efficiency.
Agreements cover new and existing vessels: TT-Line
The agreements also extend to two existing TT-Line ferries: the Nils Holgersson, which entered service in 2022, and the Peter Pan, launched in 2023. Both vessels are powered by a combination of 6L51/60 DF and 8L51/60 DF engines, also supplied by Everllence. The contracts ensure continuous lifecycle support for all four ships, improving reliability for TT-Line’s Baltic Sea operations between Germany and Sweden.

TT-Line’s Chief Operating Officer, Andreas Schaerli, described the collaboration as open and goal-oriented, with system availability, planning security, and clearly defined services as key priorities. He credited Everllence’s technical competence and willingness to develop sustainable solutions as decisive factors in the partnership.
Norris Haberland, Head of Sales Europe for PrimeServ O&M at Everllence, highlighted the mutual trust underpinning the agreements. “These contracts, covering the entire lifecycle of our equipment, reflect our long-standing relationship with TT-Line,” he said. “Our Hamburg service hub allows us to respond quickly to their needs, and we look forward to continuing this successful collaboration.”
Partnership built on technical expertise
Tammo Rüther, European Senior Sales Manager for Marine Four-Stroke at Everllence, noted that the propulsion systems for the newbuildings were developed in close consultation with TT-Line and the shipyard. “The design fulfils TT-Line’s environmental goals, offering high efficiency, low emissions, and multiple operating modes to adapt to different conditions,” he said.
The agreements were signed at the 2026 SMM maritime trade fair, reinforcing the event’s role as a platform for industry innovation.
