Chinese offshore contractor Wison New Energies has expanded its floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) capabilities through a new partnership with Shell. The agreement allows Wison to integrate Shell’s dual mixed refrigerant (DMR) liquefaction technology into its FLNG solutions, marking the first time this process will be available beyond Shell’s own equity projects. Shell’s DMR technology, previously used exclusively in projects where the energy major held an ownership stake, combines efficiency with a compact design. This makes it particularly suitable for floating applications, where space constraints and operational flexibility are critical.…
