RINA names insider Paolo Moretti as CEO after revenues double to €1bn+
Moretti takes the helm as the Italian classification group targets further expansion after five years of record growth.
La junta directiva de RINA S.p.A. ha designado a Paolo Moretti al frente de la compañía, relevando en el cargo a Carlo Luzzatto, quien ocupó el puesto desde diciembre de 2023. Los miembros del consejo han reconocido públicamente el trabajo realizado por Luzzatto durante su gestión en el desarrollo corporativo.
La decisión, comunicada tras la sesión del consejo celebrada el pasado 23 de octubre, responde a la necesidad de potenciar el crecimiento de la organización en sintonía con los planes establecidos junto a sus accionistas principales: Registro Italiano Navale y Fondo Italiano d’Investimento.
La composición actual del consejo directivo incluye a Barbara Caputo, Marco Cecconi, Nazareno Cerni, Simonetta Di Pippo, Guido Figliola, Roberto Martinoli, el propio Paolo Moretti, Paolo Pierantoni y Ugo Salerno. Este cambio en la dirección coincide con una etapa de consolidación, tras un período en el que los ingresos de la empresa se han incrementado en más del cien por cien en el último lustro, superando la barrera del millardo de euros.
Con formación como ingeniero naval, Moretti se incorporó a RINA en 1997 y ha desempeñado diversas funciones de creciente responsabilidad. Su trayectoria abarca áreas clave como el desarrollo estratégico y comercial, tanto en el ámbito nacional como internacional, ocupando puestos como Director General de la División Marítima, Vicepresidente Ejecutivo de Desarrollo Estratégico Marítimo y Director Comercial.
Tras su nombramiento, Moretti manifestó su vinculación con la entidad y su equipo humano.
