A 46-page report by Human Rights at Sea (HRAS) has exposed critical gaps in the evidence used to convict two senior seafarers of drug trafficking in Türkiye, raising concerns over a potential miscarriage of justice. Chief Officer Ali Albokhari, a Syrian-born Finnish citizen, remains imprisoned nearly three years after his arrest, while Croatian Captain Marko Bekavac was returned to Croatia last year following diplomatic intervention.
