Angola, Israel, and Algeria lead the traffic increases at Valenciaport in February

The Valenciaport Statistical Bulletin shows that the tons exchanged with Angola in February increased by +2,200.88%, by +44.41% with Israel, and by 18.71% with Algeria. Meanwhile, China remains Valenciaport's main trading partner, with 129,724 TEUs exchanged with Asian ports in the first two months of the year

Overall, companies operating with Valenciaport handled 12.51 million tons through its terminals (+1.35%). In terms of containers, traffic for January and February recorded 894 TEUs (twenty-foot containers), representing a +10.34% increase.

The Valenciaport Statistical Bulletin shows that container traffic with Angola increased by +2,200.88% in tons in the cumulative total for January and February, while traffic with Israel grew by +44.41% and with Algeria by +18.71%. China remains Valenciaport’s main trading partner, with 129,724 TEUs exchanged during this period with Asian ports (+36.44%) and 1,410,867 tons (+29.43%).

Additionally, Valenciaport terminals confirm that the export sector continues to grow. The Valencian facilities have maintained a positive trend this year, with outbound full container traffic from Valenciaport to other countries increasing by +5.39%. Specifically, according to the Valenciaport Statistical Bulletin for February, full TEU (6.1-meter container) traffic increased that month by +9.88%, with unloaded containers growing by +29.93% and transshipments by +4.15% in the total accumulated for January and February.

Overall, in the first two months of the year, companies operating with Valenciaport handled 12.51 million tons through its terminals (+1.35%). In terms of containers, traffic reached 863,894 TEUs (twenty-foot containers), marking a +10.34% increase.

In general, an analysis of the Bulletin’s figures shows growth in UTI (intermodal transport units) traffic (+0.44%) and TEU rail transport (+4.53%), while passenger traffic (-5.86%) and vehicle traffic (-34.35%) have declined.

By sector, growth is recorded in non-metallic minerals (+28.08%), chemical products (+12.17%), construction materials (+9.06%), and agri-food products (+2.35%).
