140 Missing After 39-Year-Old Ferry Capsizes in Java Sea Storm

The Virgo Transport 8, operated by PT Virgo, lost contact with its operator at around 2 a.m. local time after its captain reported the vessel was tilting in heavy seas. The ferry, which departed Surabaya in East Java at 10:13 a.m. on Saturday, was bound for Banjarmasin, a port city in South Kalimantan on the island of Borneo.
