ACCIONA will build a new breakwater to protect Ravenna floating terminal
SHARE

ACCIONA, in consortium with the Italian company RCM Construzioni, will construct a breakwater to shelter the new floating terminal for industrial use at the Port of Ravenna, Italy.

The breakwater project, which has a bid budget of €216 million, will consist of a vertical dyke made of concrete caissons, spanning 880 meters in length and 22 meters in width. Located 8.5 kilometers offshore from Punta Marina, south of the Port of Ravenna in the Northern Adriatic, the infrastructure has an expected completion timeline of 24 months.

The project will be financed by the North-Central Adriatic Sea Port Authority through a loan from Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, one of Italy’s primary development banks.
