Panama Canal ranks among the leading companies in talent attraction and management in Merco Talento Panamá 2026

The Panama Canal was recognized in the third edition of Merco Talento Panamá 2026, ranking fourth in the overall list of companies with the greatest ability to attract and retain talent in the country. The organization also achieved fourth place in the category of best Human Resources teams, reaffirming its commitment to excellence in human capital management.

This recognition reflects the dedication of the Canal’s employees and the organization’s ongoing efforts to strengthen an organizational culture based on innovation, sustainability and pride of belonging. In addition, the Panama Canal was recognized as the leading company in the logistics sector, confirming its strategic role in the country’s development and global trade.

In the overall ranking of Merco Talento Panamá 2026, the top five positions were held by Banco General (1st), Banco Nacional de Panamá (2nd), Cervecería Nacional (3rd), Panama Canal Authority (4th) and Caja de Ahorros (5th).

In the category of best Human Resources teams, the leading positions were occupied by Banco General (1st), Cervecería Nacional (2nd), Terpel/Va & Ven (3rd), Panama Canal Authority (4th) and Banistmo (5th).

A recognition based on thousands of evaluations

Merco Talento Panamá 2026 was developed based on more than 13,600 surveys and 11 sources of information, with independent review by KPMG, consolidating its position as one of the most comprehensive reputation and talent management monitors in Ibero-America.

The Panama Canal appreciates this recognition and reaffirms its commitment to continuing to be a driver of sustainable development for Panama and a benchmark for excellence in human talent management.
