Maersk’s 115ft rotor sail cuts fuel use by a tonne daily

CLAVE 1 / 4Maersk will install a 35-metre rotor sail on an 8,700-TEU container vessel, its first wind-assisted propulsion pilot.

CLAVE 2 / 4The sail is expected to save one tonne of fuel per day, reducing CO₂ emissions by three tonnes daily.
